The Jaco family visited Pensacola Beach on vacation in July, and I was so thrilled when they hired me to do family portraits for them. These three sisters were the most polite, sweet, adorable girls! I loved the stories they told me about their vacation – crabbing in the bay, riding boogie boards in the waves and building sand castles!
This is Cohen – isn’t he adorable! Cohen’s family recently moved to Pace, and I am just thrilled that they chose me to shoot his 9 month portraits. Cohen is one laid back dude! I was constantly moving him around – boardwalk, grass, blanket, concrete, and he just went with the flow!

I love it when I’m reminded what a small world this really is. When Kelly first called me, I noticed she had a Virginia area code. I grew up in Virginia, so I brought it up during our conversation, and it turns out that she grew up close to where I did, and not only that, her cousin (I think?) knows my ex-husband as they used to work together at Navy Federal!
The Thomas family lives in Texas now, and they were in Sandestin on vacation. They were here the week Hurricane Debby was toying with us, and I thought for sure we would have to cancel our session. Turns out that Debby had a different plan in mind, and we ended up with a beautiful evening to do portraits at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin.
I’ve been photographing Francie since she was a newborn, and I have loved watching her grow and change! She’s now a feisty two-year old with tons of personality. Our session was a blast – from watching her swing to riding her bike, Francie is a girl on the move!
As much as I love shopping for props and coming up with ideas for sessions, I love it when Moms have ideas for sessions. I think there were only two of my own props used in this session! It was Addison’s sitting up session along with big sister Ava’s two-year session, and I’m in love with the images we got!
